About the Employer

ASK Wellness Society is an accredited, not-for-profit organisation based in Kamloops. According to its Indeed profile, it began in 1992 as the AIDS Society of Kamloops and later recognised that people needed housing before they could focus on their health. It now provides housing and support to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, including people living with mental health challenges and substance use. Its services include supportive housing, shelters, recovery programs and clinics. Its job portal lists offices in Kamloops, Merritt and Penticton, and Indeed puts its size at 201 to 500 employees.

The listing describes service delivery as client-centred, trauma-informed and non-judgmental. It adds that the shelter is pet-friendly, because clients are allowed to have pets. The Society says it promotes diversity and inclusion and considers all qualified applicants without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or age.
